Head instructor: Nick Milward is a CA State Parks Lifeguard, USCG licensed captain, and rescue boat operator. Nick has years of experience training surrounding agencies on the safe and effective use of their vessels. Nick has performed hundreds of critical, high-risk rescues in large surf on crowded beaches across CA. With his knowledge and expertise, you will be learning from one of the best.
Minimum 2 day course - 3 day recommended. 3:1 student to instructor ratio

Negotiating a vessel in a surf zone is a lifelong skill - we teach the fundamental knowledge on swells, bottom contour influence, set waves, tides, and currents to help your team apply them towards critical decision making, risk management and maneuvering in a dynamic environment.
